Procurement Specialist for Global Mobility

We're seeking a skilled Technical Buyer in Vienna to join our team. This role is based at our global competence center for trams and light rail vehicles.

Your Future Role

This position plays a crucial role in supporting our sites' performance by working alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team under the Site procurement director.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Preparing and launching Request for Quotations with suppliers
  • Leading project negotiations
  • Monitoring Procurement project QCDT (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Technology) & legal project evolution
  • Ensuring work package sheet commitment respect
  • Preparing Business Awards
  • FOLLOWING AND PROMOTING THE ALSTOM CODE OF ETHICS AND ADOHERING TO THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF ETHICAL CONDUCT
  • Coordinating projects across all levels (Global, Regional, Local)
  • Securing on-time delivery and quality, especially during the ramp-up phase of the project
  • Consolidating commodity needs and inputs
  • Participating actively in commodity strategy and panel elaboration
  • Providing input to build differentiation
  • Supporting Commodity Managers in tender phases
  • Representing commodities towards projects, platforms, and solutions
  • Ensuring effective teamwork with internal customers and stakeholders in problem-solving
  • SUPPORTING GLOBAL SUPPLIER PANEL RELATIONSHIPS
  • Managing specific supplier panel relationships (negotiation, specific agreement, local supplier QCDT performances)
  • Measuring the supplier's performance and developing them in coordination with the supplier Quality Team
  • Assessing properly all risky suppliers and managing the associated mitigation plan
  • MANAGING INITIAL ISSUES BEFORE ESCALATION TO THE LINE MANAGER

About You

  • A master's degree from an Engineering or Business School, or similar experience levels
  • Sourcing professional background (minimum 1-3 years) in direct materials (production)
  • Fluent in English and German, mandatory for this role
