CIRSE is a non-profit making, educational and scientific association aiming to improve patient care through the support of teaching, science, research and clinical practice in the field of cardiovascular and interventional radiology.
We represent over 9,600 members and organise the largest annual IR congress in the world. Our main mission is to provide education and training to our members, to enhance patient care and to constantly improve the medical discipline of interventional radiology.
Job Description
This position would be ideal for a candidate who is able to quickly pick up new information, think critically and creatively, and take initiative. The successful candidate will be interested in scientific publishing, editorial work and willing to contribute to the development of CIRSE's journals and SOP documents.
- Liaise with editors, authors, reviewers, publisher and other stakeholders
- Support Editors and Editorial Board members in their day-to-day work
- Prepare regular project briefings to the committee members, editors, CIRSE leadership, and executive director
- Organise in-person and online meetings, including coordinating invitations, compiling agendas, providing presentations, offering technical support, and taking minutes
- Draft correspondence, presentations, content for newsletters and other CIRSE publications
- Work in the manuscript submission and peer-review system
- Manage website content and coordinate promotional activities
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will be a native (or near-native) English speaker with proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook). They will possess strong organisational, analytical, time management and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to organise and moderate in-person and online meetings.
