Regional Rare Disease Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rare Disease Lead to join our team at UCB Group. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in representing UCB in the communities we serve in Austria, striving to transform the lives of those living with Rare Diseases.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and building collaborative relationships with all relevant healthcare professional stakeholders, executing commercial strategies built on a solid scientific foundation, and enabling access for all rare patients we can serve.
Key responsibilities will include mastering brand messaging, targeting, and digital technology to deliver persuasive, high-impact customer experiences tailored to distinct user segments, while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
The ideal candidate will be an expert on the practices, delivery networks, regional patient journey, and patient populations within their territory, with a proven record of sustained high sales performance and achievement, developing thought leader relationships, and involvement in successful product launches.
Key stakeholders will include targeted physicians/HCPs, all care team members, Rare Disease Organization Leadership Team, Marketing, Market Access, Patient Engagement, MSL, Medical strategy, and regional patient advocacy groups.
The successful candidate will be able to conceive, organize, prioritize, and manage multi-element projects, particularly requiring collaboration across departments and disciplines, with a strong ability to maximize impact of multichannel/digital tools and strategy/tactics with territory HCPs.
Key skills and qualifications include a scientific background, 5+ years of field-based experience in sales, account management, and/or field reimbursement in biopharmaceuticals, full professional proficiency in English and local language, and a strong understanding of key medical, scientific, and healthcare concepts, data analysis, language, and practices related to neurology and rare diseases.
