Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Process Improvement Specialist (m/f/d) to join our team in Vienna.


Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and managing competitive and standardized operational procedures.
  • Implementing agreed-upon research and development projects.
  • Actively engaging in strategic product management, budgeting for R&D, and conducting reviews.
  • Overseeing cost control and performance evaluation of assigned R&D initiatives.
  • Enhancing the competitiveness of specific processes through regular benchmarking against industry competitors.
  • Drafting and creating detailed specifications.
  • Assisting in and conducting measurements, mill audits, performance testing, and troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Preparing comprehensive reports for management and controlling, covering costs, timelines, order statuses, and contract compliance.
  • Creating and delivering product and process presentation materials.
  • Providing support to sales teams.
  • Contributing to the development of digitalization solutions (Big Data, B2B, IoT).

Candidate Profile
  • Degree in a technical field with a focus on process engineering (e.g., mechanical engineering, plant engineering, industrial engineering).
  • Desirable experience and knowledge of fundamental mechanisms and theories in production processes, particularly in the timber product or pulp and paper sectors.
  • Proactive, analytical, results-driven, and capable of working independently.
  • Willingness to travel and operate within an international business context.
  • Strong technical and commercial acumen.
  • Fluent in German and proficient in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Customer-focused with strong negotiation skills and assertiveness.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a confident demeanor.
  • Experience with ERP systems; familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
  • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
  • Open to advancements in technology and process improvements.
