In your role, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing concepts for power distribution and rectifier systems at the plant level
  • Researching and assessing potential partners and suppliers
  • Defining and producing electrical studies (short circuit, harmonic, arc flash protection and coordination, grounding)
  • Establishing and managing electrical design standards
  • Advising sales and execution teams on electric system costs and designs
  • Preparing essential electrical design documentation
  • Creating and evaluating inquiries for the procurement process
  • Participating in HAZOP and LOPA studies
  • Collaborating closely with project management and disciplines such as piping, layout, static and rotating equipment, and automation both during the proposal and engineering phases
  • Serving as the liaison to electrical hardware engineers
  • Leading hardware FATs and SATs
  • Contributing to the commissioning, start-up, and optimization teams

Your qualifications include:

  • A degree in power electric or automation engineering
  • At least five years of experience in designing and implementing industrial low voltage power systems; knowledge of medium voltage is advantageous
  • The ability to consult and negotiate with clients and suppliers to create robust specifications, present proposals engagingly, and deliver clear and factual engineering reports
  • Experience in conducting acceptance tests and supervising installation and commissioning during start-up
  • Familiarity with European electrical standards; knowledge of North American standards is a plus
  • Experience in preparing and evaluating short-circuit and harmonic studies is beneficial
  • Strong communication, analytical, and planning skills
  • A solution-oriented mindset with the confidence to act proactively
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in another European language is an asset
  • Willingness to travel for at least five days per month
