Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Application Engineer to join our team at Quantum Industries GmbH. As a key member of our sales and technical support team, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to our customers in the deployment and operation of our Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) systems.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **Technical Expertise**: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of QKD technologies and their applications in secure communication.
  • **Customer Support**: Provide technical support and guidance to customers, ensuring successful deployment and operation of our QKD systems.
  • **Sales Support**: Collaborate with our sales team to identify and pursue sales opportunities, aligning with our company's roadmap.
  • **Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Work closely with internal teams, including sales, engineering, and management, to ensure seamless customer support and sales execution.
  • **Proposal Generation**: Prepare and present comprehensive proposals to customers, highlighting the benefits and value of our QKD solutions.
  • **Product Delivery**: Ensure timely delivery of our QKD systems and provide technical support to customers during the implementation phase.

**Requirements**

  • **Education**: A degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • **Experience**: At least 3 years of experience in a technical role, preferably in the fields of quantum technology, telecommunications, network security, or a related industry.
  • **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in working with complex technical systems, with a strong emphasis on QKD technologies.
  • **Interpersonal Skills**: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interfacing with both technical teams and customers.
  • **Problem-Solving Abilities**: A proactive problem solver who is able to diagnose and resolve technical issues, working closely with both customers and internal teams.
