Job Title: IT Governance and Compliance Manager

Elevating IT Governance for Compliance and Operational Excellence

Overview:

The IT Governance and Compliance Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective governance and compliance of the entire internal IT organization and procured external IT services. This leadership position aims to uphold the highest standards of IT governance by regularly reviewing and updating IT policies, conducting audits to assess compliance with established standards, facilitating cross-functional communication to address governance issues, and overseeing change management processes to implement necessary changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to regularly review and update IT policies in accordance with changing corporate and legal requirements.
  • Ensure consistent application of IT policies across all central and local IT units.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive audit plan to evaluate compliance of internal and external IT services with established IT standards.
  • Provide detailed audit reports with findings, recommendations, and action plans.
  • Address governance and compliance-related issues on a cross-functional level.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and awareness regarding IT governance principles.
  • Monitor change management processes during governance changes.
  • Ensure effective communication of changes and assess their impact on stakeholders.
  • Lead the demand management, implementation, operation, and continuous development of governance, compliance, and change-related IT services procured from external service providers.
  • Identify and assess potential compliance risks.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the organization.
  • Deliver training programs to enhance awareness and understanding of IT governance principles among internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • University degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in IT governance, risk management, or compliance leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of corporate and legal requirements related to IT governance and compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT policies, standards, and frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting audits to evaluate compliance with established IT standards.
  • Proficiency in change management processes for smooth implementation of governance changes.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to proactively identify and address governance and compliance-related issues.
  • Experience in demand management regarding negotiation and control of service provision by external service providers.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional communication and collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in both written and spoken German and English.
  • Professional appearance, maintaining confidentiality, and confident demeanor with business partners at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, flexibility, and commitment.
  • High level of initiative and a collaborative team spirit.
