At Alstom, we're looking for a skilled Material Planner to join our team in Vienna, Austria. As a Material Planner, you'll be responsible for managing our suppliers' portfolio, ensuring goods delivery at the right time and place based on our needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring suppliers' performance KPIs and participating in performance improvement initiatives.
  • Managing purchase requisition flow up to material planning documents for internal suppliers.
  • Following up with sourcing on purchase requisition level maturity for launching material planning documents for external suppliers.
  • Ensuring and updating the accuracy of material planning master data in compliance with stock and logistic constraints.
  • Creating material planning documents and respective source lists.
  • Communicating material planning documents to suppliers and following up on their confirmations.
  • Analyzing suppliers' confirmations versus Alstom's needs and evaluating the risk/impact anticipation on production/projects.
  • Identifying priorities associated with risk/impact anticipation and setting up recovery actions.
  • Maintaining a routine with suppliers to check the status of deliveries.
  • Analyzing and managing MRP exception messages and anticipating supply problems.
  • Maintaining delivery dates in ERP and tracking missing parts until stock availability.
  • Ensuring non-conformities replacement.
  • Resolving receiving issues.
  • Analyzing and sharing deliveries performances KPIs with different stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with material planning management/supplier delivery performance manager to validate worst suppliers and define appropriate action plans.
  • Applying appropriate communication routines with suppliers based on their delivery performances.
  • Driving and following (when involved) supplier capacity assessment and supplier's light capability assessment.
  • Contributing to new business risk assessments and mitigation action plans.
