Material Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Planner to join our team at Alstom in Vienna, Austria. As a Material Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely delivery of goods to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Manage supplier portfolios to ensure goods delivery at the right time and place based on Alstom needs.
- Express delivery needs to suppliers and animate their delivery performances.
- Drive action plans for performance improvement and contribute to risk management.
- Monitor supplier performance KPIs and participate/lead in supplier performance improvement.
- Manage purchase requisition flow up to material planning documents.
- Follow up with sourcing on purchase requisition level maturity for launching material planning documents.
- Ensure and update the accuracy of material planning master data.
- Create material planning documents and respective source lists.
- Communicate material planning documents to suppliers and follow up on their confirmations.
- Analyse supplier confirmations vs. Alstom needs and evaluate the risk/impact anticipation on production/projects.
- Identify priorities associated with risk/impact anticipation and set up recovery actions.
- Maintain a routine with suppliers to check the status of deliveries.
- Analyse and manage MRP exception messages and anticipate supply problems.
- Maintain delivery dates in ERP and track missing parts until stock availability.
- Ensure non-conformities replacement.
- Resolve receiving issues.
- Analyse and share deliveries performances KPIs with different stakeholders.
- Collaborate with material planning management/supplier delivery performance manager to validate worst suppliers and define appropriate action plans.
- Apply appropriate communication routines with suppliers based on their delivery performances.
- Drive and follow (when involved) supplier capacity assessment and supplier's light capability assessment.
- Contribute to new business risk assessments and mitigation action plans.

- Graduated at least from higher education in business administration or engineering or supply chain.
- Supply chain certification and SAP experience would be desirable.
- Experience with ERPs, supply chain concepts, processes continuous improvement.
- Fluency in English and German language.

The minimum salary for this position is € EUR gross annually for full-time employment according to the collective bargaining agreement.
