About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Director to lead our financial operations at Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca. As a key member of our pre-opening team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver accurate and timely financial reports to assist management decision-making.
  • Provide leadership and guidance in all matters relating to financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Oversee the accounting department to ensure optimal efficiency of financial operations and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Supervise the preparation of all financial reports, ledger reviews, and forecasts according to established schedules.
  • Monitor revenues and expenses to ensure accurate recording of information and adherence to company guidelines.
  • Establish and oversee internal financial controls to ensure policies are enforced according to company standards and local law.

Requirements

  • Extensive financial controller experience in hospitality accounting operations, preferably in the luxury sector.
  • Effective management, leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to generate all financial reports, including profit and loss statements, income statements, etc.
  • Ability to assemble, analyze, and understand integrated spreadsheets and complex technical information.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish, as well as strong presentation skills.
  • Prioritization skills necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and proficiency in systems such as Opera, Sun, Delphi, Hyperion, and Micros System preferred.
