About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Specialist with regional responsibilities to join our team in Vienna, Austria. As a key member of our global insurance program management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing insurance strategies that align with local standards and our company-specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate and facilitate global insurance programs, ensuring alignment with local regulations and our company's global standards.
  • Manage local insurance representatives and collaborate with business and finance teams across the region.
  • Coordinate with our global insurance broker and address regional insurance requests, including developing insurance solutions for new projects.
  • Handle large losses and claims under our global lines of insurance.
  • Provide training to local colleagues, management, and teams while maintaining cultural sensitivity and effective communication.
  • Review and negotiate insurance clauses in sales contracts.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A completed academic education in insurance, risk management, law, or business economics.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the insurance industry (insurer, insurance broker, risk manager, or internal company insurance department).
  • Expertise in international commercial lines of insurance, preferably related to manufacturing, project work, construction, or related industries.
  • Strong communication skills in English and German, both written and spoken.
  • Independent and precise working style with problem-solving skills.
  • Team spirit, communication skills, and commitment.
  • Global focus.
