About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Revenue Management to join our team at Mandarin Oriental, Vienna. As a key member of our pre-opening team, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and maximizing occupancy levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide current and accurate information on the internal reservation situation and external market trends to the Sales and Marketing function.
  • Identify trends, recommend growth efforts, and monitor progress of current selling strategies to ensure the hotel is competitively positioned within the local marketplace.
  • Maximize occupancy levels and rate by reviewing and revising revenue strategies, gathering and analyzing statistics, yield information, and other relevant data to identify potential new business, markets, and trends.
  • Manage third-party sites and agents to establish rates, negotiate prices, and ensure proper implementation of reservations procedures to maximize conversion ratios.
  • Control rooms inventory, including allocation and reservations to areas of maximum yield and blackout dates, and develop and conduct rooms-based marketing activities.
  • Track sales programs, promotions, and advertising, and provide feedback as necessary to relevant departments.
  • Ensure all booking systems are maintained to achieve optimal results and liaise with the Marketing team to ensure content is up-to-date.
  • Manage the Reservations Team, ensuring team members are developed effectively and generating a culture of high-quality standards for relationship building, customer service, selling techniques, billing, and processing contracts.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within luxury hospitality.
  • Understanding of technical and managerial applications of reservation, sales, PMS, and revenue systems, including SMS, Syn Xis, Datavision, IDea S, and Delphi.
  • Fluency in German and excellent level of English.
