Job Title: IT Domain Architect

We are seeking an experienced IT Domain Architect to join our team at ÖBB. As a key member of our Rail Logistics department, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our digitalization efforts.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement an architectural target image for our systems in rail logistics, focusing on the MIKE logistics platform.
  • Develop technical solution strategies and architecture designs based on product requirements, collaborating with product managers and agile delivery teams.
  • Participate in overarching IT architecture initiatives and contribute to the development of our ÖBB architecture community.
  • Conduct proof-of-concepts and feasibility analyses to ensure the success of our digitalization projects.
  • Support the replacement of existing technologies and provide architecture checks for new IT demands/requirements.
  • Represent ÖBB in international railway committees, shaping the industry's future.
Your Profile:
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in IT, logistics, or railway technology, accompanied by a university or college degree or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in domain architecture, agile digitalization projects, and state-of-the-art IT technologies.
  • Strong background in service-oriented architecture and cloud architecture design.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions, and communicate effectively with international teams.
  • Fluency in English and a solid knowledge of German.
