Site Reliability Engineering Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineering Lead to join our team at Raiffeisenbankengruppe. As a key member of our Site Reliability Engineering team, you will be responsible for driving the design and development of our application and data platforms, while also supporting the technical growth of our engineers.
Key Responsibilities- Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Mentor other team members on design techniques and coding standards, ensuring that our engineering practices are aligned with industry best practices.
- Secure Architecture and Development: Design and implement secure architectures, integrating security into automated workflows and platforms development, to ensure the integrity and reliability of our systems.
- Innovation and Improvement: Actively identify innovation potential and improve technical solutions within the platform domain, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
- Technical Leadership: Be the technical steer in designing and developing our self-service platform, ensuring that it meets the needs of our customers and stakeholders.
- Observability and Monitoring: Enable observability to help understand and monitor the internal state of the system and of our services, ensuring that we can quickly identify and resolve issues.
- Quality and Disaster Recovery: Strive for quality at every stage of the product development lifecycle, and help the team to build a successful disaster recovery strategy.
- Education: Master's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field involving software/systems engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Technical Skills: Very good understanding of DevOps processes and good knowledge of toolset for continuous delivery (CD), experience with infrastructure as a service (IaC) tools, good knowledge of Linux or UNIX based system architecture, experience with containers and containers orchestration technologies, and experience with monitoring and monitoring technologies.
- Soft Skills: Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks, systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills and a sense of drive, and experience architecting, developing, and troubleshooting large scale systems.
