Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Enhance system solutions by analyzing mass and energy balance results.
- Integrate and refine control strategies and maintenance philosophies.
- Participate in HAZOP and LOPA studies.
- Create innovative concepts for modularization and standardization of design processes and solutions.
- Prepare and manage comprehensive equipment lists.
- Review and integrate PIDs of package units.
- Coordinate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Clarify, discuss, and present technical solutions to clients.
- Assist in the selection process of process equipment.
- Align and verify layout and piping engineering outcomes.
- Support the preparation of function descriptions.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in process or mechanical engineering.
- At least two years of experience as a P&ID engineer; experience in the petrochemical sector is advantageous.
- Familiarity with P&ID CAE programs; knowledge of COMOS Process P&ID is a plus.
- Ability to consult with clients and regulatory bodies regarding technical design requirements.
- Strong communication skills to explain design solutions effectively.
- Knowledge of ISO/EN standards; additional knowledge of US standards is beneficial.
- Strong analytical and planning abilities.
- Solution-oriented with a proactive approach.
- Proficiency in English; proficiency in another European language is an asset.
