Job Overview


Sportradar, a leading provider of sports data and analytics, is seeking an experienced Senior Market Intelligence Leader to join its Global Commercial & Market Intelligence team. This role will play a critical part in driving the company's growth by providing strategic market insights and intelligence.



About the Role


This high-impact position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in business analysis, market research, and consumer insights. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, ability to motivate and guide a team of up to 10 people, and experience in both primary and secondary research. A very structured approach to work, attention to detail, and ownership mindset are essential for success in this role.



Key Responsibilities



  • Demonstrate expertise in business analysis and/or market intelligence & research/consumer insights, preferably within betting & gaming, internet businesses, banking & finance, and/or other high transactional environments.
  • Provide in-depth analysis of geographical markets, client behavior, and trends, using data to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Lead the development of the company's market intelligence initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and coordination.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information about competitors, clients, and partners, focusing on financial figures, pricing, product features, technologies, and projects.
  • Analyze and provide regional input to global content and other strategic initiatives, ensuring a holistic understanding of Sportradar's customers and their needs.
  • Identify capability gaps and product improvements, as well as new markets and innovations, to drive business growth and expansion.


Requirements



  • Relevant academic qualifications, such as a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field (e.g., business, marketing, economics).
  • Demonstrable experience in business analysis and/or market intelligence & research/consumer insights, preferably within betting & gaming, internet businesses, banking & finance, and/or other high transactional environments.
  • Excellent understanding of geographical markets, client behavior, and trends, using data to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team of up to 10 people.
  • Experience in both primary and secondary research, including gathering and analyzing data from various sources.
  • A very structured approach to work, attention to detail, and ownership mindset are essential for success in this role.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken), with any other European language being considered a plus.
  • Resourceful, problem-solving attitude, analytical mind, accuracy, and proactivity are also required.
