Your Role at Dynatrace
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing software asset management solutions to support users with their software needs. Your key responsibilities include creating, updating, tracking, monitoring, and maintaining software licenses in the asset management database, as well as overseeing application usage and ensuring compliance with software usage policies. You will also work on identifying opportunities to reallocate or retire unused or restricted software.

Key Activities:
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive inventory of all software assets and licenses in use.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the software request and procurement processes.
  • Manage and administer software licenses and access for both existing and new applications.
  • Ensure timely execution of key activities in the software contract lifecycle, including extensions, renewals, and terminations.
  • Develop and generate ad-hoc and automated reports for software asset and license management and usage monitoring.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have proven experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) and software licensing. A strong understanding of software entitlement analysis and ability to track, interpret, and maintain entitlement data is essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required. Additionally, you should have working knowledge of software use case analysis and its application in license management, software licensing for Open Source, Freeware, and major vendors, SAM and ITSM tools, Licensing & Compliance, Microsoft Excel, and Power BI.
