Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated Community Manager to join our team. As a key member, you will play a vital role in building and nurturing our online community, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for our learners.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to grow our online presence, engaging with learners on social media platforms and online communities.
- Respond to comments and messages on social media, moderating and growing our online communities, including our Facebook group and Discord community.
- Promote user-generated content to foster a sense of belonging and engagement within the community.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in community management, social media, and forums to continuously improve our strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to the strategic development of community initiatives, offering insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Support the Social and Partnerships team in tracking community engagement metrics and sharing insights, managing community engagement during online and offline events.
- Professional fluency or native level in English and American Sign Language (ASL)
- Deep insights on Deaf community and culture
- Actively engaged in the Deaf community
- Awareness of cultural sensitivities and nuances when it comes to Deafness
- Proven experience in customer support and/or community moderation/management
- Experience with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, and community platforms such as Discord and Slack (preferred)
- Experience with online conference call platforms such as Zoom (preferred)
- Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written communication skills and ability to adapt your style to Lingvano's tone of voice and brand identity
- Self-starter with a detail-oriented mindset
- Contribute to building a successful brand with a clear social impact, working alongside an international team of Deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing employees.
- Choose your working hours within a flexible working scheme.
- Use up to 10% of your weekly working time for personal and professional development, plus a learning and development budget to spend on training and other learning opportunities.
This is a permanent, part-time position (20 hours per week). We are looking for candidates based in the continental US. The position is open to begin immediately, but if you cannot start immediately, we still encourage you to apply. We are particularly open to welcome Deaf applicants and strongly prefer individuals who are actively engaged in the Deaf community.
Lingvano consists of an international and diverse team of Deaf and hearing people, working together to help you connect with Deaf relatives, friends, colleagues, or neighbors.
