Your Role
As a Cost Engineer, you will play a crucial role in achieving the company's financial objectives by identifying cost-saving opportunities in ongoing production. Your expertise in product development processes will be essential in ensuring transparency in costs associated with requirements, production methods, and components.
- Conducting thorough analyses and cost assessments to provide clear visibility into component costs and pricing strategies for development initiatives.
- Leading and facilitating cost workshops to enhance understanding and collaboration.
- Guiding new team members by sharing specialized knowledge and insights on cost structures.
- Establishing target costs based on industry benchmarks to drive efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
- Completed technical or commercial education (e.g., HAK, HTL) or relevant university degree.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in process cost management, particularly in aluminum.
- Strong analytical skills with a passion for numbers and data analysis.
- Proficient in MS Office Excel.
- Excellent command of both German and English.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Familiarity with SAP is a plus.
