IT Procurement Manager

Magna is seeking a seasoned IT Procurement Manager to develop and execute commodity strategies for hardware, software, and services. As a key member of our Magna Corporate Purchasing Europe team, you will be responsible for driving cost savings, risk mitigation, and process improvements.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced professional with a proven track record in procurement and sourcing within the automotive industry. Your expertise in organizing cross-functional teams and implementing commodity strategies will enable us to achieve our strategic objectives.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commodity strategies for IT commodities in collaboration with Magna IT and alignment with company-wide strategic objectives.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, and process improvements.
- Pursue request documents and associated bids.
- Evaluate offers and negotiate, presenting results to the sourcing board and management.
- Lead negotiation, contracting processes, and supplier relationships for IT commodities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate commodity synergies and achieve the best possible outcomes for stakeholders involved.
- Work closely with European Purchasing teams across Magna Groups and regions.
- Enhance existing templates and tools to effectively present projects and savings.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement and sourcing within the automotive industry, specifically in IT commodities.
- Strong expertise in commodities strategy definition and implementation.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, focusing on driving cost reduction and supplier performance improvement.
- Solid understanding of supply chain management principles.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at various levels.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
