The Office for Women is responsible for the Domestic and Family Violence Safety Alliance and works across government and community towards achieving gender equity and positive change for women in South Australia.
The Office develops policy and provides advice on issues affecting women to improve their safety, wellbeing and economic security.Role DetailsThe Manager, Domestic and Family Violence is a role within Office for Women (OFW), Community and Family Services and is accountable to the Director for:Providing high level policy advice and project management on initiatives that influence change in social policy, practice and legislation which impact women in South Australia.Supporting the Director to provide advice about setting strategic directions, policies and actions for the Office for Women.Providing support and developing and maintaining effective strategic partnerships with government and non-government agencies and community organisations to promote collaboration and awareness about issues that impact on women and girls in South Australia.Providing leadership, advice, support, and direction to the Domestic and Family Violence team and leading the procurement and contract management processes for the OFW.Special ConditionsDHS is committed to making our services and workplaces safe and inclusive for all people and ensuring the full diversity of the communities we serve are represented in our workforce, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability and/or neurodivergence, young people, older people, culturally and linguistically diverse people, LGBTIQA+ and gender diverse people.We are committed to making reasonable adjustments to provide a positive, barrier-free recruitment process.
