The Office for Women is responsible for the Domestic and Family Violence Safety Alliance and works across government and community towards achieving gender equity and positive change for women in South Australia.
The Office develops policy and provides advice on issues affecting women to improve their safety, wellbeing and economic security.
Role Details The Manager, Domestic and Family Violence is a role within Office for Women (OFW), Community and Family Services and is accountable to the Director for:
Providing high level policy advice and project management on initiatives that influence change in social policy, practice and legislation which impact women in South Australia.
Supporting the Director to provide advice about setting strategic directions, policies and actions for the Office for Women.
Providing support and developing and maintaining effective strategic partnerships with government and non-government agencies and community organisations to promote collaboration and awareness about issues that impact on women and girls in South Australia.
Providing leadership, advice, support, and direction to the Domestic and Family Violence team and leading the procurement and contract management processes for the OFW.

Screening Checks If you are new to the department and are invited to an interview, you will be required to produce a National Police Check, which has been issued within six months of your application for the role.
National Police Checks can be applied for via the South Australia Police or through an Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission accredited body.
If the role you are applying for also requires an Employment-related Screening Check, you will be required to undergo such assessment as is advised by DHS, including periodic assessment during your employment.
