About the Role
As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll play a key role in the company's data transformation projects.
Reporting to the Head of Data, you'll design and implement cutting-edge data solutions, optimize system performance, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver impactful outcomes.
You can work from anywhere in Australia for this role.
Benefits
Fully remote working (must be based in Australia) $1,100 (inc super or + GST) 12 Months contract - Start ASAP Duties/Key Responsibilities
Optimise and troubleshoot Databricks DLT & Autoloader processes.
Manage ELT workloads for transforming JSON files.
Conduct Spark tuning and optimise big data performance.
Enhance metadata-driven frameworks using SQL Server, ADF, and Databricks.
Deploy solutions through Azure DevOps pipelines and engage directly with stakeholders.
Skills and Experience
Proficiency in Databricks, PySpark, and SQL, with a focus on ELT workloads.
Expertise in Spark tuning and big data performance optimisation.
Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines and metadata frameworks.
Knowledge of SAP and experience in the utilities industry (bonus).
Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders.
