As our Technical Executive/Senior Principal Engineer – Overhead Wiring (OHW), you will enhance your capabilities and the reputation of WSP's renowned national Rail team.Based in our offices in Brisbane, you will be our most senior OHW lead in Queensland, collaborating with a wealth of talented professionals, whilst working on truly iconic projects - further strengthening our OHW offerings for projects both locally and nationally.At WSP you'll find the scale and reach you need to do the kind of work the world needs – as well as the culture and people that make it the best work of your life.Now is your chance to be part of an exciting time in Transport in Queensland - Especially with the Olympics heading to Brisbane, whilst leading the way in driving future ready outcomes that will not only benefit client, but communities for years and generations to comeWhat you'll do:Being a technical, passionate and influential leader, proactively maintain effective networks and relevant industry relationships to gain cooperation in meeting business and client outcomes.Complying with all role specific HSEQ obligations.Establishing project OHS&E objectives and targets.Promoting the continual improvement of best practice OHS&E and Quality systems and behaviours.Coaching others in the identification and management of ethical issues associated with area of work or practice area.Providing technical review of work performed by the team.Providing expert technical input to a diverse range of projects in line with WSP quality system and client requirements.Mentoring junior engineers in technical, project delivery and client relationships.Providing expert input to pursuits and proposalsAbout YouYou're likely to be a proven leader in Overhead Wiring and Safety in Design with extensive years of proven experience (at Senior Engineer level as a minimum).You have knowledge of establishing project quality and risk management systems, project communications integration systems and have a solid understanding of contracts and commercials as related to project delivery.RPEQ qualified (or eligible to be so)Bachelor's degree (Engineering) or EquivalentHave Queensland Rail design and checker competenciesHave proven and extensive experience in Overhead Wiring at Principal Engineer level or above, ideally at Consultancy levelAnd possesses the following attributes:Natural connectorProblem solver with a powerful team spiritOpenCuriousPassionateAdaptableSomeone ready to do the kind of work the world needsWSP is one of the world's leading engineering professional services firms, bringing together approximately 6,000 talented people across 15 offices in Australia.We are technical experts who design and provide strategic advice on sustainable solutions and engineer Future ReadyTM projects that will help societies grow for lifetimes to come.At WSP, we want you to embrace your curiosity and work in a culture celebrating different perspectives.
