Administration Assistant - Aboriginal Trainee Program Only for registered members

Salary: AUD 60,000 - 80,000

Your role
The SSCX Aboriginal Trainee Program is run through the Department's Shared Services (SSCX) which provides a variety of Finance and Payroll transactional services to both the department as well as other Stronger Communities cluster entities.
Shared Services has offices in Parramatta, Goulburn, and Orange and will require trainees to rotate through functional teams residing in one of these locations.
What you'll do
The Administration Assistant will rotate through 2-to-3 transactional processing areas over a 12-month period, undertaking entry-level tasks from a broad variety of shared services functions.
Each rotation will last approx.
3-to-4 months; however, it may vary due to operational requirements.
At the conclusion of the 12-month program, performance in each of the rotational areas is assessed with a view to confirming suitability for ongoing placement.
Pending availability of roles within the Shared Services Centre, an ongoing offer of employment will be made to trainees who have successfully completed the program.
What we're looking for
In addition to meeting the essential requirements, the successful candidate must demonstrate capabilities in:
Ability to provide sound clerical and administrative support to both internal and external clients Strong data entry/keyboard skills with good attention to detail Proficient with relevant software As an Identified role, this position is open only to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander persons, Australia's First Nations people.
