The Strategic Advice Team provides support services to our Private Wealth Advisers for all advice areas outside of investment advice.

As a manager of the Strategic Advice Team, you will oversee all aspects of the financial planning advice process within Ord Minnett.

Primary responsibilities:
Management of a small team of highly competent and cohesive Strategic Paraplanners, providing guidance, support, and inspiration to get the best out of the team.
Engage in regular improvement projects regarding advice templates and advice processes, with a high level of understanding of compliance requirements.
Coordinate and run training sessions for the advisers on updated legislation and relevant technical information on important complex topics, requiring high-level technical knowledge across all areas of financial planning.
Assist with the development of advice solutions based on clients' needs and objectives for discussion with advisers, acting as the go-to technical lead within Ord Minnett.
Weekly analysis and reporting to senior management, including SOA completion numbers and analysis of trends along with issue reporting.
Develop and maintain the XPLAN system, liaising with external consultants and jointly developing reports, CRM, and task threads.
Serve as the primary XPLAN administrator, reviewing and allocating user licenses, coordinating XPLAN data feed management, attending regular meetings with IRESS and other providers, and providing guidance and training to users.
Establish, build, and maintain effective relationships with advisers and other key stakeholders required to perform your job efficiently.
Adhere to relevant policies, processes, and procedures in alignment with the operational risk management framework and standards of compliance.
Keep up to date with changing legislation and complete the required CPD points every year.
Actively contribute to continually improving the paraplanning process.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Strategy, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Proven experience in strategic planning, consulting, or business development (5+ years).
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a knack for building relationships across all levels of the organisation.
Proficiency in strategic frameworks and project management tools.
A proactive mindset with a passion for driving change and delivering results.
