East Partnership are working exclusively with Ord Minnett, an established, leading Australian wealth and investment services firm with a rich history of client service and product innovation. They provide a comprehensive range of services, including equity and investment management, wealth advice, and corporate finance solutions for a diverse clientele. As they continue to expand and innovate, Ord Minnett are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join their senior leadership team.About the Role:As the Chief Operating Officer, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of Ord Minnett, as well as their strategic growth and innovation. Working closely with the CEO and executive team to drive operational excellence, efficiency, and scalability across all areas of the organisation. Your core responsibilities will include overseeing Equities & Investment trading operations, technology functions, delivering enhanced operational services to our employees and clients. This role demands a hands-on leader, with a mix of both business and management expertise, proficient with policies, processes and procedures within the finance industry. An individual who can inspire and lead high-performance teams while maintaining and nurturing key relationships with vendors, institutions, and regulatory authorities. The COO plays a critical role in ensuring the company achieves its strategic goals and objectives.Key Responsibilities:Operational Leadership: Lead operational strategy and performance across trading & operations, Client Service Operations, technology, office management, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and a commitment to excellence. Ensure operational and technological resilience and cybersecurity framework and defence.Team Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, innovation, and client-centric service.Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Manage critical relationships with external vendors, institutional partners, and regulatory bodies to support our operational needs and regulatory compliance, as well as internal stakeholders, particularly Private Wealth.Strategic Execution: Advising the CEO and senior leadership across strategic initiatives and operational plans that drive efficiency, revenue growth, and client satisfaction. Align operational initiatives with the organisation's vision and long term objectives.Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all operations comply with regulatory standards, partnering with our CFO and Head of Compliance in managing, developing and implementing relevant policies, procedures and plans across all areas of corporate services.Key Qualifications and knowledge:Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years' experience in an executive leadership role within financial services, with at least 3 years of experience as a COO or in a similar C-suite capacity.Leadership: Demonstrated success in managing high-performance teams, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence at all levels.Operational Expertise: Extensive experience of optimising operational processes and implementing performance metrics to drive efficiency and productivity. Deep understanding of the complexities of managing a multi-functional, client-centric business.Change Management: Experience in managing large-scale projects and driving organisational change initiatives leading to operational improvement and effectiveness.Regulatory Leadership: Demonstrated ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
