Lakeside College is an Independent Co-education Prep to Year 12 Christian College in the Lutheran Tradition. The College is currently seeking a suitably experienced person to join our Executive Leadership team as the College Business Manager.
The Business Manager serves the Lakeside College community by leading the community in financial sustainability and resource stewardship. In doing so, they encourage all in the community to learn, care and achieve, to bring glory to God and serve the world in love.
The Business Manager should at all times exemplify the College's values: love, service, compassion and excellence.
As a trusted member of the executive team, you will report directly to the College Principal. You will be responsible for leading the business and finance functions of the College, ensuring the College has the resources and infrastructure to deliver a contemporary education of the highest standard.
The role requires the ability to respond to tight deadlines in financial and management reporting, annual audits, budget preparations and forecasting activities, monthly accounting requirements and systems development.

Key Selection Criteria A proven ability to plan, develop and execute business development strategiesDemonstrated ability to work within a multi-disciplinary teamExperience in risk analysis and WHSAn understanding of Employment Contracts, Awards and legislation relating to schoolsExperience in Project ManagementExcellent communication, listening and IT skillsA degree in Finance/Business or a related fieldAn active Christian faith and a willingness to uphold the ethos of the Lutheran Church of AustraliaExperience working in educational institutions (preferably a member of ASBA)Good communication skills, verbal and writtenThorough understanding of accounting and bookkeeping proceduresStrong business acumen and the ability to negotiate business outcomes for the CollegeA high degree of competence in organisational matters related to supervising building projects and related activitiesA high level of proficiency in Information Technology including Microsoft ExcelAwareness of contemporary issues and practices in financial administration, particularly in the context of management of a non-government schoolUnderstanding of Church, State and Commonwealth requirements for the financial management of a non-government schoolA current working with children's check or ability to gain oneMinimum four years of previous experience in a school environment (or similarExperience using TASS and CompliSpaceApplication process To apply for this position applicants must submit an application containing:
