Mining - Engineering & Maintenance (Mining, Resources & Energy)
Deftec is looking for an experienced Surface Site Services Manager to oversee and manage site-based electrical services for both brownfield and greenfield projects in the Bowen Basin and Mackay regions.
This position will involve traveling to remote sites to scope, coordinate, and complete works, with periods of work from our Mackay workshop.

As a key leader within our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing small to medium-sized projects, coordinating teams of skilled tradespeople, and ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of services on-site.
The role requires a mix of hands-on technical expertise and strong leadership capabilities to deliver exceptional project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage electrical services for small to medium brownfield and greenfield projects, ensuring timely and safe execution.
Coordinate and supervise teams of tradespeople, ensuring effective collaboration and high-quality results.
Travel to remote sites for scoping and execution of electrical works, as well as troubleshooting and maintenance.
Provide technical guidance and leadership on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, regulations, and project specifications.
Oversee and manage site logistics, resources, and schedules, ensuring the smooth delivery of projects.
Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors to ensure that project milestones are met and expectations are exceeded.
Collaborate with the broader project management team to ensure alignment with company objectives and client requirements.
Required Qualifications & Experience
QLD Electrical Fitter/Mechanic License (Essential) QLD Driver's License (Essential) Relevant higher education or technical training in electrical engineering, industrial systems, or a related field.
Experience leading and managing teams of tradespeople on small to medium brownfield and greenfield projects in the mining, industrial, or construction sectors.
Proven ability to manage site-based electrical services, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, automation, control systems, and industrial IT solutions.
Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects and work effectively under pressure.
