Office Management (Administration & Office Support) Full time The Mission of Doherty Clinical Trials Ltd is to accelerate the development of novel medicines and vaccines through innovative early phase and human challenge clinical trials of the highest quality.
Doherty Clinical Trials Ltd undertakes safe, ethical early phase clinical trial research that addresses cost and time barriers for the development of novel medicines and vaccines.
The Business Manager will support Doherty Clinical Trials Ltd in its current growth phase, maturing from start-up to an established, process-driven and efficient organisation.
The Role The Business Manager will lead business operations for Doherty Clinical Trials Ltd as a member of the leadership group with a focus on developing and maintaining effective systems for administrative functions including human resources, finance, payroll, accounts, and procurement.
The role will work closely with specialist vendors to design best practice systems and processes ensuring that operational and governance requirements are met.
It will also be a lead for projects relating to business systems and general operational improvements.
As the organization transitions from its start-up phase to full operational capacity, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in establishing and refining high-quality, business-critical systems and processes.
These systems will be designed to optimize resource utilization, drive efficiency, and support sustainable growth.
This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with the leadership team and engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, contributing to the organization's long-term success and impact.
About You To be successful in this position you will be an experienced senior administrator with an entrepreneurial spirit.
You are skilled in anticipating and mitigating risks, managing complex stakeholder networks, and effectively negotiating and influencing diverse groups.
You will have proven ability to plan and manage projects under tight deadlines, adapt to shifting priorities, and demonstrate innovation in project implementation.
You will also be a team player with the ability to support others in the team as needed.
We're looking for someone who will enjoy designing intuitive processes and collaborating with our team and partner organisations to create positive experiences across a range of administrative platforms.
You're a self-starter and will be given the autonomy to build upon the foundations of the company in its start-up form.
You will possess: Desire to support the design and expansion of a for-purpose charity conducting meaningful work.Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.A graduate qualification in a discipline relevant to Doherty Clinical Trials Ltd business operations or equivalent experience.Ability to balance multiple projects and timelines to ensure delivery.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders within a clinical trial.High level of attention to detail.Ability to work as a team player and support others within the Doherty Clinical Trials as needed.Demonstrated ability to execute project plans and timelines and monitor project progress.Experience in the establishment of a small to medium enterprise is highly desirable.National Police Check or willing to undertake.To protect the health and safety of clinical trial participants, staff and other healthcare workers, vaccination for certain diseases is highly recommended for staff.
