This small team has a wealth of experience and offers a level of service that puts their people first through design.
This is a newly created position for a permanent part-time BIM Leader who will be responsible for the development and implementation of the BIM and digital construction procedures.
These will be designed to support decision-making and deliver more effective and collaborative practices throughout the construction project lifecycle.
Your new role
As a senior member, you will coordinate, collaborate, and help through leadership, training, process, and technology implementation.
Additionally, the role is responsible for supporting training, mentoring, and overseeing the activities of the team.
The BIM Coordinator will also perform non-routine and complex drafting assignments requiring application of standardized drawing techniques to ensure compliance standards are met.
This may also include minor drafting and project requirements to support the design team.
Main Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coordinate BIM standards development, implementation, and enforcement on all related BIM projects, files, and models.
Assist in the development and establishment of data flow processes and management systems at each stage of the design process.
Develop and implement records, processes and maintain an integrated system for managing drawings and asset information.
Understand and execute compliance standards by ensuring these are implemented and updated throughout the central master files.
Assist with the development of multidisciplinary Revit documentation when required.
Support project start-up coordination by assisting the project teams to develop strategies for effective delivery of quality documents, and set-up each project.
Oversee the use of BIM/Revit software company-wide, including installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting all BIM installations as well as analyzing and solving BIM user issues.
Provide end-user training, support, and leadership.
What you'll need to succeed
Established experience supporting company and client standards and BIM objectives.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and guide large and diverse teams.
Experience in other BIM design and delivery tools (e.g.
Navisworks, Rhino, Dynamo, BIM360, Aconex, dRofus).
Experience establishing Project BIM requirements, including; project structure, defining BIM deliverables, data exchange formats, and effective workflows within a design team.
Reporting of BIM performance and BIM Team member competencies.
Demonstrated capacity to assist project teams in BIM management and coordination with clients, engineers, and consultants.
Experience in delivering Revit training and relevant best practice and standards, and identifying skill gaps with a goal of continuous improvement for all project staff.
Skilled in using Revit to produce full detailed construction and planning documentation (essential) with sound knowledge of building, creating and maintaining Revit components, systems & schedules.
Experience in developing these project families (including parametric) for internal use, as well as refining appropriate third-party families to adopt within documentation.
An understanding of construction planning and development processes including planning, design, and construction activities.
