The role demands a professional with a solid background in high-end pastry creation, capable of managing large teams and showcasing comprehensive technical abilities and all-around technical expertise and management skillsYour Role and Responsibilities:Leadership Excellence: Direct and oversee a large pastry team, instilling a culture of excellence, precision, and innovation. You will be responsible for the training, mentoring, and professional development of your team.Innovative Menu Creation: In collaboration with the Executive Chef, develop and refine a pastry menu that aligns with the venue's 1 hat standard or more. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the delivery of creative, high-quality pastry items that complement the establishment's reputation for culinary innovation.Operational Management: Efficiently manage the day-to-day operations of the pastry section, maintaining the highest standards of quality control and food safety. This includes managing inventory, ordering supplies, and optimising kitchen workflows.Culinary Expertise: Utilise your advanced technical skills to craft exceptional desserts, pastries, and baked goods.
