As a consequence of our significant growth, we have a great opportunity for an experienced broker to join our successful team.Whilst our head office is located in Geelong, this role could also be based out of our Melbourne Office for the right candidate.About The RoleThis role will report and work with one of our Associate Directors and will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of client service to maintain and grow our portfolio of corporate clients. This role would suit current corporate account executives or SME account managers. Ideally, you are a collaborative team player who is self-motivated, has excellent interpersonal skills, and shows strong organisational and time management skills.The Requirements:Diploma of Insurance Broking qualification or willingness to completeIdeally 5-10+ years experience in the insurance industryExcellent report writing and communication skillsAbility to prioritise workIntegrity and passion for the insurance industryBe a team player who thrives in a dynamic work environmentYou have a strong desire for growth both technically and personallyAssist with a corporate portfolio of business with a particular emphasis on profitable growthContribute to business retention activities.Maintaining Client RelationshipsProviding personal advice to clients in all matters affecting their insurance needsPresenting recommendations and options to clients; reaching agreement and receiving instructions on their implementationKeeping clients fully briefed throughout the year on market trends and how they may be affectedMaintaining regular personal and telephone contact with clients throughout the yearVisiting clients on an "as needs" basisBusiness DevelopmentDevelopment of a portfolio of business, with a particular emphasis on profitable growth, providing professional standards and consistency of adviceIdentification and development of new business prospects by cross-marketing and keeping abreast of changes in the market placeAttend to new business leads and enquiriesUsing interpersonal communication styles and methods to maximise partnerships with business associatesIdentifying potential for and developing new client relationships; proactively identifying client requirementsTeamworkWork effectively with team/work group through open communicationPositively influence team members' actions to adequately and cost-effectively meet clients' insurance needsKeep management and others informed appropriately and as required on work status of all team membersMonitor and develop the skills of team members wherever possible to ensure high moraleWhat You Will Gain In Return:Work with a company that has a proven track record of growth and an excellent vision for the futureA company that provides a fantastic platform for your career with clear goals and succession planning that prides itself on being the best we can beGreat opportunity to develop skills across all facets of an insurance broking business including time to shadow senior executivesTechnical and risk management coachingWork with a collaborative, dynamic, and fun team
