Fisheries Business Development Manager

CLS Oceania Pty Ltd is a subsidiary of the CLS Group (www.cls.fr/en) with offices in Melbourne and Hobart providing satellite-based products and services (air-time and value added) for various applications such as monitoring, tracking and data collection.
Clients consist of government, educational/universities, research institutes, regional secretariats and private companies.We are seeking a full-time person to further enhance and develop the Fisheries market in Australia and in the South Pacific region.
CLS is present in most of the Pacific Islands directly and indirectly where commercial large-scale fishing vessels utilize the CLS Vessel Monitoring System (VMS).Our direct clients are regional fisheries management organisations or fisheries bodies in the region where our products are type approved for VMS.
We are also AFMA type approved for commercial fishing vessels licensed to operate in Commonwealth, State and Territory waters.Responsibilities include (but not limited to):Responding to enquiries from existing and potential clientsSales and marketingPresenting and setting up at exhibition-conferences-workshopsLiaising with local and regional resellers-distributors and certified installersWhen necessary, answer first level support queriesOn-the-job training relating to CLS products and services will be provided during the probationary period at our Melbourne office, and additional training if required will be at any of our regional offices in Asia or at our head office in Toulouse, France.The position is a combination of sales and technical within a fisheries monitoring, conservation, management, control and surveillance environment where inter-state travel will be required.
