The Oonoonba Hotel, Townsville is a mainstay local hotel with a strong and vibrant local clientele.
We are seeking a well-versed Hotel Duty Manager with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the same role, who is looking for a new challenge and is excited to come on a journey with us as we upgrade and renovate the Hotel into a community tavern for the local catchment.
Located in the South of Townsville, the Oonoonba Hotel is situated on the busy Abbott St and commands three street frontages on almost an acre of land.
The hotel has a dual lane drive thru, public bar, bistro, 8 motel-style rooms, TAB facilities, and a 25 machine gaming room.
The hotel was recently acquired by new owners who have a strong vision for the asset for the future and a major development is anticipated within 12 months.

This exciting patron-focused role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the hotel across all departments.

Responsibilities:Oversee daily operations across all departmentsCash management and recordingStock handling and reportingRosteringStaff trainingBudget analysis and actioningFront and back of house operationsCustomer service excellenceResponsible service of alcohol and responsible gaming practicesVenue compliance across all facultiesEnsure all communication - verbal and written is professional and reliableCollaborate across all business functions and drive delivery of operational outcomesWork with the broader Management team to promote the venue as a premier functions and events destinationAbout You:Positive "can do" attitude with a strong customer focusUp-skill and develop each team member's product knowledge and service standardsEnsure each and every guest has a seamless and entertaining experienceEnsure the venue complies with all health and safety regulations and Liquor Licensing and Gaming lawsCollaborate across all business functions and drive delivery of operational outcomesWork with the broader Management team to promote the venue as a premier functions and events destinationThis is a full-time role reporting directly to the Venue Manager.
