High Fidelity Simulation Education Coordinator Drive clinical best practice through delivery of immersive, innovative and professional simulation education. This is a full time, permanent opportunity. About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated High Fidelity Simulation Education Coordinator to join our Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) team.
In this role you will manage the Simulation Suite and work with the Director of PGME, simulation educators, and other consultants to develop and implement course modules, training materials, and evolve the centre's offerings for both internal and external clients.
As a program manager you will oversee the operation of the simulation education centre, coordinating internal and external courses, and liaising with the PCH Foundation regarding simulation equipment.
You will provide operational management to the simulation team, including nurses and an administrative assistant, ensuring smooth operations, effective teamwork, and fostering our supportive adult learning environment that helps participants push their boundaries.
In addition, you will leverage your technical expertise to maintain and operate high-fidelity mannequins, provide technical support, and liaise with vendors for parts and repairs.
Key responsibilities include: Acting as a consultant on paediatric simulation education activities, providing specialist advice locally and state-wide.Leading the development, governance, and implementation of simulation initiatives and programs.Managing staff resources, including rostering, payroll, recruitment, and professional development.Overseeing financial and physical resources, including procurement processes.Promoting innovation and best practices in simulation education.The ideal candidate will have a clinical background (nurse, anaesthetic tech, or similar) with experience in maintaining and repairing simulation equipment.
The ability to develop and deliver educational adult learning programs, together with excellent communication and consultative skills will be key to success in this role.
