This role will ensure the RC team delivers to agreed quality and service levels, driving a focus on accurate, timely, and responsive provision of information and excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders, while maintaining overall accountability for continuous improvement and refinement of the RC team's work.
This role would suit a seasoned leader with a deep understanding of child safety regulations, the Victorian reportable conduct frameworks, and investigative practices, preferably within an education context.
The role requires strong decision-making, critical thinking, and stakeholder management skills, capable of balancing child-centred practices with procedural fairness and a commitment to continuous improvement in safeguarding standards.
WHAT YOU WILL DO Lead and oversee the Reportable Conduct (RC) team in managing reportable conduct cases from notification through to resolution.Manage case intake, assessment, and prioritisation, ensuring effective risk assessment and workload management for the RC team.Oversee and advise on the investigation and case management of allegations, ensuring procedural fairness and adherence to legal standards.Provide authoritative guidance on drafting allegations, evidence collection, and assessment.Identify and escalate child safeguarding risks across MACS, working proactively to manage these risks.Prepare and deliver data and reports on reportable conduct matters to internal stakeholders, Board Committees, and regulatory bodies.Drive continuous improvement in case management processes, procedures, and quality standards within the RC team.ABOUT YOU Extensive experience in reportable conduct management in an educational setting.Degree in a relevant field such as law, social work, investigations, social services, regulatory compliance, or education services.Strong investigative and decision-making skills.Thorough understanding of child safety and child-centred practices.Proficiency in regulatory and legislative frameworks, especially in reportable conduct and mandatory reporting.Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.Leadership and stakeholder management skills.HOW TO APPLY Please refer to the position description for further details about the role and the Key Selection Criteria.
