Power & Utilities division delivers solutions for the Renewable Energy and Hydrogen Industries such as project certification and design verification, site assessment, grid connection support, supply chain quality management, project management assistance, construction supervision, as well as condition monitoring and asset management solutions.
The Role:
BV is seeking an experienced Senior Solar/BESS Electrical Engineer.
The candidate should have a high-level understanding of the energy yield assessments and experience in design review, verification, and assessment of renewable energy plants.
This may include budget, schedule, quality, risk, contract and stakeholder management, supervising construction, procurement activities, engaging in negotiations with EPC, and managing industrial relations.
Key Responsibilities:
Solar/BESS site visits, inspections, and RCAs High-level understanding of the energy yield assessments Design review, verification, and assessment of renewable energy plants Experience with EPC, O&M, and module supply agreement contract reviews Perform technical due diligence, construction monitoring, and payment milestone authorization of the Solar and BESS Manage projects as the owner's or lender's engineer Knowledge of wind projects is a plus Manage other engineering sub-consultants to meet the requirements of BV's clients Maintain communication with engineers of other international BV offices Facilitate information sharing in the area of electrical engineering for renewable energy plants Client liaison, including development and continual review of client requirements, managing client expectations, keeping clients informed of work progress, and ensuring timely production of deliverables Participate and represent BV in renewable energy conferences, events, etc.
Any other tasks requested by the Engineering Manager Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, Masters preferred
• Experience in the consultancy environment as owner and lender engineer
• Solar/BESS farm site experience
• Ability to work under pressure
• Excellent report writing skills
• This role may require 20-30% travel
