Driven by performance and meeting the demands of their customers, they now seek to appoint a Head of Occupational Safety to drive safety culture.About the PositionThe Head of Occupational Health and Safety is a leadership position which is responsible for developing OHS frameworks, standards, policies and procedures. Responsibilities include:Developing relationships both internally and externally within a large complex business.Managing regulator relationships and enquiries including regulatory changes and impacts.Driving safety culture to deliver world class practices.Responsible for continued improvement and development of the Safety Management System.Developing a psychological health framework in line with new regulations.Leading, developing and mentoring a small team.About youTo be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:A proven track record in leadership within OHS ideally within a large corporate environment.Demonstrable experience in working with regulators, external and internal stakeholders, executives, and Boards.Highly developed communication skills with the ability to influence and lead.In-depth understanding of relevant safety legislation and frameworks.A pro-active and positive approach to problem solving.Able to work to tight timeframes and deadlines.Tertiary qualifications in OHS or similar.If you are interested in applying for the role please click apply now.
