The Role Due to the nature of this role we would be looking for someone with a legal background. Our Dental Case Managers exist to provide dento-legal advice, support and risk management services to members of MDA National. The key function of the role is the provision of prompt, accurate and empathic dento-legal advice and assistance to members.
Reporting directly to the Dental Case Lead, this role will include (but not be limited to) the following: Case Management adviceReport preparation and presentations for use at or by:- Board
- Senior Management
File Management – in accordance with protocols and in line with corporate strategy.Ensure that the MDANI claims protocols reflect best practice to optimise claims outcomes.Work closely with the Dental partners to provide quality advice and support to Dental Practitioners to optimise case outcomes, promote good practice and reduce dento-legal risk.Manage performance of external legal and clinical providers and continuously review value.Ensuring the dento-legal consultants are aware of their role in the dental case management protocol and related requirements or obligations.Ensure there is good visibility of dental cases within MDANI.Gaining insights from the dental case experience to assist in the development of quality education materials and programs for the dental Insureds.Reporting on claims trends and experience.Skills & Experience An experienced Dental or Medical legal claims manager including thorough knowledge of the Australian legal system as it applies to Dento-legal indemnity cases.Awareness of the Australian legal system and knowledge of the fundamental jurisdictional differences as they relate to Dento-legal cases.Decision maker.Negotiator and influencer.Interpersonal – ability to relate to a wide range of people.Superior level of oral and written communication skill.Significant experience in claims management.Technical - skilled in managing Dental or Medical legal claims.Knowledge of Australian insurance law and the regulatory framework desirable.Analytical – claims analysis, cause analysis.Desired Qualifications Legal qualifications are required.What's on offer?
