The purpose of the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) position is to provide senior nursing clinical leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery within a nursing unit, team, or service.
The CNS employs advanced clinical skills and exercises extended autonomy of decision-making, working closely with managers and other senior clinicians.
