The Payroll Officer ensures the prompt and accurate processing of employee payments, addresses payroll-related inquiries efficiently, and provides support to the Finance & Payroll Manager on various projects as needed.. Come on board with Busways as a Payroll Officer at our National Support Office in Pymble.

More About the Role: Work with the team to complete the timely and accurate payment of all payruns for 3,000 employees on a weekly and fortnightly basis.
Understand the end-to-end payroll process and escalate ideas to maintain payroll system integrity Appreciate the internal controls, policies and security requirements in place Growing ability to interpret and adhere to industry Enterprise Agreements, awards, and NES.
Ability to calculate pay calculations, redundancy estimates and other calculations to ensure accuracy.
Ability to make ATO and third-party payments and resolve issues as they arise ?Ability to use Greentree payroll module.
Solid understanding of how payroll transactions are reflected in the accounting system Assist to run payroll reports for multiple stakeholders, and learning how to develop reports that meet specific requirements.
Maintain payroll records and ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of employee information.
Perform ad-hoc tasks and other duties as directed.

What We're Looking for in the Successful Candidate: Demonstrated knowledge including, complaint handling, employee relations, work, health and safety, policies and procedures, inclusion and diversity Demonstrated problem-solving skills, the capacity to successfully deliver high quality outcomes and meet deadlines.
Growing ability to interpret and adhere to industry Enterprise Agreements, awards and NES Ability to calculate pay calculations, redundancy estimates and other calculations to ensure accuracy.
Ability to make ATO and third-party payments and resolve issues as they arise ?Ability to use Greentree payroll module Solid understanding of how payroll transactions are reflected in the accounting system Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain successful relationships Proficient computer skills, particularly with MS Office and intermediate to advanced excel skills Strong attention to detail, organisational and time-management skills Creative thinker and proactive problem solver Demonstrated ability to use initiative and maintain a high degree of confidentiality when dealing with complex matters Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have working rights in Australia Current Australian drivers licence issued by the relevant State Highly Regarded: Minimum 3+ years' experience in a payroll role, accounting or payroll qualification, extensive relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
