The Opportunity As a Health and Safety Advisor , you will support personnel across multiple sites in the Sydney metropolitan area.
The successful candidate will be tasked with maintaining safety excellence and maximising company safety performance through audit, evaluation, engagement, training, investigation, and continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, you will provide health and safety compliance advice to the operational management of our sites across the facilities of our Waste, Resource Recovery and Environmental Services.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to join a high-performing People & Safety team with a hands-on, proactive approach to safety and compliance.
What's on offer Diverse role where you can travel to multiple sites Attractive salary plus car allowance and fuel card Eligibility for a yearly discretionary bonus A high degree of autonomy and diversity What you'll be responsible for Conduct inspections and audits in accordance with the internal audit schedule Assist with third-party audits Monitor the compliance of operations against company objectives and targets, along with client and legislative requirements Engage with the Operational team in developing, reviewing, and maintaining task-based risk assessments Facilitate periodic reviews of the site risk register Deliver defined Health and Safety-related training and other Health and Safety communications Manage our risk management software for the allocated sites What you'll need to be successful Formal qualification or working to complete formal qualifications in Health and Safety or extensive industry experience in a similar position Working knowledge and understanding of all relevant Health and Safety legislation including Chain of Responsibility Valid Driver's Licence Good stakeholder management skills A Veolia Career Veolia ANZ values employees and their health and wellbeing.
