This is a newly created hands-on role, a unique opportunity to work with a leading producer of mechanical pipe joining flow control & fire protection solutions for the most complex piping applications.
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Continuous Improvement Lead who can challenge the status quo, promoting and implementing sustainable improvements to remove waste from the business, ultimately improving the overall customer experience.
About the role Reporting to the Operations Manager (South Asia Pacific), your role is pivotal in leading and delivering complex process improvement initiatives across various functional areas.
The role involves 20% of your time travelling within Australia, so a willingness to travel is crucial as well as excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Implementing and leading Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, including LEAN and Six Sigma frameworks,Acting as mentor, coach and technical leader implementing the Facilities Excellence Program for both Distribution and Prefabrication departments,Enhancing operational performance by driving productivity, error reduction, and labour/equipment management strategies,Fostering a culture of Continuous Improvement; developing and delivering training programs,Working with managers ensuring proper metrics are in place and to identify process bottlenecks, conduct root cause analysis and implement process improvements,Assisting in workflow design, documentation for the ERP systems, governance and compliance,Assisting in defining/resolving gaps in data processes, governance and quality,Completing post implementation reviews ensuring successful delivery and validating financial benefit,Leading CI projects from concept to execution, ensuring measurable outcomes and stakeholder engagement.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Bachelor's degree in business organisation, Logistics or Engineering preferred,At least 5 years of lean business experience ideal,Certification in Lean and Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred),Must be goal orientated, reliable, self-motivated, able to multi-task,Strong project management, initiative and analytical skills, with a hands-on approach to solving problems and managing priorities,Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Lawson M3) preferred, plus process mapping software (Grafx or Visio) and Qlikview,A willingness to travel and be flexible working occasional overtime,Understand the benefit of working together, able to engage and influence stakeholders across different departments and suppliers,Skills in interpreting data would be beneficial.WHATS IN IT FOR YOU Job security, join a global business (50+ Sites Globally), constantly expanding,The chance to work on exciting, large-scale projects,Travel within Australia as well as overseas,Opportunities for professional development both local and international; on-going training,Competitive salary including annual salary increase reviews,A positive team culture with long standing employees,Regular team BBQs and social events,Quarterly reward and recognitions,Modern facilities and car parking,Supportive and collaborative work environment.There has never been a more exciting time to join and contribute to the success and growth of a business.
