Ongoing Casual Assignment / Bundoora Campus Hourly Rate aligned to HEO2 / $40.38 per hour Minimum 3 days per week availability (work required on 15th-16th November, 12th-14th December, 23rd-24th December and may be required over the Christmas shutdown (27th-31st December) About the position Domestic Student Recruitment is responsible for implementing an acquisition and conversion strategy on behalf of the University in order to achieve its strategic goal of recruiting high quality domestic applications.
Furthermore, the Recruitment and International Operations Division plays a key role in the development of customer growth and stakeholder engagement strategies across all available markets and channels including domestic, regional, international markets and online.
Nowadays, there is more than one way to get into university, and the Domestic Student Recruitment Team is dedicated to ensuring that prospective students can find the best pathway to help them reach their study goals, whether they be finishing Year 12 or are looking for a complete career change.
Duties at this level will include: Every day in the role looks different, keeping things fresh as we move through the academic year.
The Student Recruitment Officer is responsible for supporting prospective students throughout the entire process of starting their university journey, through: Assisting students through the application process of courses and alternative entry schemes Conducting outbound nurture calls Responding to customer enquiries via call, chat and email Skills and knowledge required: Relevant post-secondary qualifications or equivalent and proven administrative experience, preferably in sales and customer service with a drive to achieve sales targets.
Experience and skills in achieving sales targets through exceptional enquiry management and nurturing of prospective students that includes: personalised, trusted and effortless customer experiences.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and contribute to dynamic sales environment.
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise with prospective students (undergraduate, postgraduate and pathways) and influencers, academic staff, and members of the public.
An ability to master knowledge from a broad range of courses and deliver information to customers that is that is clear and personalised.
Desirable: A good understanding of the higher education environment that includes the sales funnel from first enquiry to enrolment.
