This role is part of the APRA program team who assist frontline prudential supervisors and key stakeholders outside of APRA in the application of the new standard.
The role

The team
You will work with a set of committed and enthusiastic professionals in the Non-Financial Risk team, which is part of APRA's Cross-Industry Risk Division (CRD).

Key responsibilities

About you
This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of non-financial risk in areas inclusive of operational risk management, procurement and service provision, governance, risk culture, and/or technology risk.
You will need to be able to manage your own workload and priorities effectively, as well as communicate clearly and persuasively with different audiences.
You will also need to have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and rapport with your stakeholders both internally and outside APRA.
Applicants will also ideally:
Have excellent analytical, investigation and problem-solving skills; Be up-to-date with Australian financial services industry challenges and have an interest in international supervisory developments and the legislative environment; Have excellent organisational, project management, change management, and prioritisation skills; Skills in capability development, facilitation and coaching of staff members; Have well-developed communications, negotiation and interpersonal skills; Be open to learning and adapting in a dynamic environment; Have a supportive and inclusive working style and the ability to work with an interstate and blended team.
