We have been servicing the community for over 35 years.
We are a long daycare centre catering for a maximum of 51 children per day aged from six weeks to six years of age. Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Centre Director/Nominated Supervisor to lead our Childcare Centre located in Dubbo.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management, leadership, and administration of the centre, ensuring a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for both children and staff, as well as reporting to and liaising with the Management Committee.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining high-quality standards.Foster a love for learning and creativity among children through engaging activities.Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, ensuring open communication and involvement.Represent the centre in the local community, establishing partnerships and promoting the centre's values.Conduct regular performance evaluations and support professional growth.Manage the budget effectively, ensuring efficient use of resources.Oversee the planning and implementation of the educational program which values a holistic view of each child's development.Prioritize the health and safety of all children in service.Assist with daily centre operations and room tasks such as activity preparation and mealtimes.Provide leadership, guidance and support to other educators within the service.Maintain ongoing records of the children's development, program and daily information.Assure the high quality of services in consideration of the National Quality Standards as well as compliance with relevant State Government Regulations.Qualifications and Skills: Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.Minimum one to two years' experience in a Centre Director role within an Early Childcare setting.Current paid working with children check, current First Aid & CPR, and Child Protection.National Police Check (within 6 months).Strong understanding of childcare regulations and compliance.Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Passion for early childhood education and commitment to providing quality care.About you: ACECQA approved qualification in Early Childhood Education (or working towards).Centre Director experience preferred; however, experience in a leadership role within early childhood may be considered.Understand and interpret the relevant industry regulations legislation, including NQS, EYLF, and State regulations.Ability to maintain the role, responsibilities, and qualifications of a Nominated Supervisor as per the Education and Care Services National Regulations.Strong knowledge and experience of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standards (NQS), ability to develop a QIP.Demonstrated ability in financial management of an early childhood centre.Outstanding level of verbal and written communication.Current First Aid, CPR, Child Protection, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis Certificates.Current Working with Children Check.Benefits for you: Competitive above-award remuneration (salary negotiable depending on skills and experience).Study leave available to upskill your qualifications.Leadership support.Opportunity to run a small community-focused centre where positive outcomes for children and families are our aim.We are an equal opportunity workplace where diversity is embraced.
