We are a long daycare centre catering for a maximum of 51 children per day aged from six weeks to six years of age Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Centre Director/Nominated Supervisor to lead our Childcare Centre located in Dubbo. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management, leadership, and administration of the centre, ensuring a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for both children and staff, as well as reporting to and liaising with the Management Committee
Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining high-quality standards.Foster a love for learning and creativity among children through engaging activities.Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, ensuring open communication and involvement.Represent the centre in the local community, establishing partnerships and promoting the centre's values.Conduct regular performance evaluations and support professional growth.Manage the budget effectively, ensuring efficient use of resources.Oversea the planning and implementation of the educational program which values a holistic view of each child's development.Priorities the health and safety of all children in serviceAssisting with daily centre operations and room tasks such as: activity preparation and mealtimesProvide leadership, guidance and support to other educators within the serviceMaintaining ongoing records of the children's development, program and daily informationAssuring the high quality of services in consideration of the National Quality Standards as well as compliance with relevant State Government Regulations.
Qualifications and Skills: Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.Minimum one to two years' experience in a Centre Director role within an Early Childcare setting.
Current paid working with children check current First aid & CPR and Child protection.
National Police Check (within 6 months).
Strong understanding of childcare regulations and compliance.Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.Passion for early childhood education and commitment to providing quality care. About you: ACECQA approved qualification in Early Childhood Education (or working towards)Centre Director experience preferred, however experience in a leadership role within early childhood may be consideredUnderstand and interpret the relevant industry regulations legislation, including NQS, EYLF and State regulationsAbility to maintain the role, responsibilities and qualifications of a Nominated Supervisor as per the Education and Care Services National Regulations.Strong knowledge and experience of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standards (NQS), ability to develop a QIPDemonstrated ability in financial management of an early childhood centreOutstanding level of verbal and written communicationCurrent First Aid, CPR, Child Protection, Asthma and Anaphylaxis CertificatesCurrent Working with Children CheckBenefits for you: Competitive above-award remuneration (salary negotiable depending on skills and experience)Study leave available to upskill your qualificationsLeadership support Opportunity to run a small community focused centre where positive outcomes for children and families are our aimWe are an equal opportunity workplace where diversity is embraced.
