Position Purpose Certis Security Australia is currently seeking talented individuals to form part of a new team at a fresh new facility in the heart of the Sydney CBD.
As a Relief Security Officer you will be the eyes and ears in keeping this site safe and secure.
We are looking for suitably qualified, well-presented Security Officers with great communication skills.
This is a great opportunity to start on a new facility with fresh fittings as well as opportunities to grow within Certis large portfolio.
Workplace Health & Safety Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and the health and safety of other people in the workplace.Comply with health and safety policies and procedures, including the investigation and reporting of hazards and incidents to your manager.Comply with any reasonable instruction related to health and safety.Do not interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interest of health and safety.Understand and reinforce the requirements of HSE to keep our people safe.Meet company HSE requirements.Key Responsibilities Works individually or in a team environment under limited supervision which may not necessarily be at the site where the officer is posted.Assists in the provision of on-the-job training.Exercises discretion within the scope of this classification level.Exercises computer skills at a higher level than Level 3.Exercises high level interpersonal and communications skills.Monitoring, recording, inputting information or reacting to signals and instruments related to electronic surveillance of any kind within a monitoring centre or at a particular location.Keyboard operation to alter the parameters within an integrated intelligent building management or security system, including operating computer programs that have the ability to lock or unlock doors, program access cards, audit door access by individuals as well as recording the time and date of access.Co-ordinate, monitor or record the activities of security officers utilizing a verbal or computer based communications system within a monitoring centre including in or in connection with an airport security zone.A Security Officer Level 4 may be required to perform duties of security officers at Levels 1, 2 and 3 that are not designed to promote deskilling.Qualification Mandatory Current and applicable Security license Cert ll (as per state regulation)Current First aid CertificateAustralian / New Zealand Citizen or Permanent residentDesirable Driver's licenseWorking with children'sBase line clearanceMSICCert lllNV1 clearanceNV2 clearanceControl Room licenseWhite cardSkills Adaptability - Maintaining effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusting effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures.Applied learning - Assimilating and applying new job-related information in a timely manner.Building a learning organisation - Evaluating organisational teams and individuals needs with respect to a reference point (i.e.
