The role is office based with flexible home working arrangements based on business needs.
Main ResponsibilitiesWe are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Executive Support Officer with a 'can do' attitude to join the team.
You will need to be a flexible and professional individual and able to multi-task with a positive and proactive approach.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Providing a professional, efficient and effective administrative support to our Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Wider Leadership Team (WLT) and Cabinet Members (CM) supporting them in their official duties.Effectively managing the diaries and scheduling of meetings for SLT, WLT, CM and senior colleagues.Taking the initiative and acting on behalf of SLT, WLT and CM and leadership Teams to resolve issues.Supporting the SLT/WLT and Cabinet members and senior colleagues in dealing with complex enquiries and correspondence from members and officers within the County Council, members of the public, MPs and partners.The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who:
Is experienced in taking accurate action notes of meetings, some of these being in-house and multi-agency meetings.Has excellent administrative and IT skills including diary and email management.Is able to work independently with minimal supervision and enjoys problem solving.Has excellent written and oral communication skills and is able to engage with colleagues at all levels of an organisation.Has an ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment and to manage changes/priorities at short notice.Experience in a similar role would be preferable, but not essential.
